highly sought-after teacher, he has taught and lectured extensively,
and has directed guitar workshops and masterclasses in the UK, Canada,
USA and Europe.
Gilbert Biberian was Professor of Guitar
at Trinity College of Music between 1988 and 1996. During his tenure
there he was responsible for overseeing the compilation of the examination
syllabus for Trinity College of Music for their 1993 season of examinations.
He was Vice Chairman of EGTA (UK) in 1994, and a member of the Management
Committee of the Cheltenham International Festival of Music between
1993 and 1996.
He is director
of his own summer school for guitarists, which attracts young musicians
from all over the world. He is also Artistic Director of the Charlton
Kings International Guitar Festival, held annually in Gloucestershire,
as well as guitar tutor at the North East Scotland Music School
in Aberdeen.
